Some geodes from Los Catalanes measure meters and weigh tons. These are some of the ones that came out of Le Stage Minerals quarries.
The Empress of Uruguay
3.27 meters. About 2.5 tons. A single geode.
In 2007, a Le Stage Minerals quarry in Artigas revealed a piece that would become known as The Empress of Uruguay.
It is now at Crystal Caves, Atherton, Queensland, Australia.
